I was testing my wildlife photography skills last week . I explored Darling down zoo Brisbane Australia and captured some best photos.
Darling Downs Zoo is a privately owned zoo located near Toowoomba, Queensland. It offers a diverse range of exotic and native animals, making it a popular family destination. The zoo is divided into various sections representing different continents, such as Africa, South America, and Australia, allowing visitors to explore wildlife from around the globe. Highlights include big cats, primates, and reptiles, along with rare species like the endangered white lions and cheetahs. The zoo also offers interactive experiences, including feeding sessions and encounters with animals, providing a hands-on learning opportunity for visitors of all ages.

Kangaroo comes to my backyard every day but this black kangaroo is different and not commonly seen in my area. Representing Australia’s native wildlife, kangaroos can be seen grazing on grass and shrubs. Visitors often enjoy watching them hop around freely in country side
Macaw parrot was very playful and interactive
These couples were inseparable as when they move they again sit each other very close
Various species of antelopes, such as elands and impalas. These graceful animals feed on grasses and leaves and are known for their agility and speed
Another Cat family but dangerous ..
The distance from Brisbane to Darling Downs Zoo is approximately 150 kilometers (93 miles) by road. The journey typically takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes by car, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Zoos provide a unique opportunity to connect with wildlife and nature, which can help reduce stress and anxiety. Being around animals, greenery, and natural habitats can evoke feelings of peace and tranquility. Watching animals in a calm, controlled environment encourages mindfulness. Observing their behaviors, movements, and interactions helps to focus on the present moment, offering a mental break from daily worries. For many, watching animals, especially calm grazing species or those moving slowly, can have a meditative effect. Seeing animals in peaceful surroundings fosters a sense of well-being and awe.Even though I know some are against keeping them in an enclosure.
Will be back with another travel story.
